Open call for Attitude Award Chile 2019
everis Foundation Chile has launched a new version of the Attitude Award 2019 to promote entrepreneurship, innovation and talent. This time the call looks for high impact technological projects in the management, social or environmental fields in the following categories: New business models in the digital economy, Industrial Technologies and Biotechnology and Health.
Interested candidates may already submit their applications in any of these categories, from last 12 March until 10 May 2019. The competition will end in July when the winner will be announced: this team will obtain a round trip to the international final of the Global everis Award in Spain to be held in November.
This international final offers the possibility of networking with other attendees to the event, as well as competing for the grand award of €60,000. This award will come along with mentoring services offered by the experts of the everis Foundation.
‘We are very excited to be back in Chile for the Attitude Award, because last year we had a very successful call and learnt about interesting and innovative projects. So this year we invite you again to be part of this meeting: now the new feature is that the winner from Chile can travel to the grand final in Spain and qualify for the 60,000 euros that offers the everis Foundation for the implementation of the final winning project,' says Francisco Pecorella, Director of Innovation of everis Chile.
According to the contest rules, the category New business models in the digital economy seeks projects based on high impact digital business models that exploit the opportunities offered by new technologies.
For those contesting in Industrial Technologies, they will need to present projects based on high impact technological innovation applied to the development of products or services in areas such as tourism, industry, banking, insurance, telecommunications, logistics, distribution, energy, infrastructure or general consumption.
As for Biotechnology and Health, projects must be based on the application of biotechnology and life sciences in general to drug development, new therapies or food production. Projects that incorporate technological or computer developments in the form of medical devices or eHealth solutions are also considered.
Entrepreneurs interested in participating can submit their projects via www.premioactitud.cl.
Foundations and leading companies of the sector have met to discuss the possibilities of dynamizing the labor market after the serious consequences of the COVID-19.
The program, which promotes the inclusion of girls through the mentorship of female leaders in various spheres of society, will now benefit, in addition to kids from public schools, those associated to the social institution. Furthermore, all training and mentoring meetings will take place digitally.
How to fly a drone, how to design an app or how to create your own video game will be some of the topics that will be worked on with the children from July 7 to 16.
This activity will take place online on June 26th, at 16:00, with the help of volunteer trainers from the Foundation.
