A digital therapy solution to stop smoking wins the Argentina everis Award 2020
Mindcotine will receive 1,500 euros and mentoring for the development of its project and will participate in the international final of the everis Award to compete for an additional 60,000€.
The Mindcotine project aims to help people change addictive behaviours through a solution of digital therapies in a remote way that combines Virtual Reality, Mindfulness and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. In addition, it uses VRMET technology (Virtual Reality Mindfull Exposure Therapy) that favours access to treatment in large remote populations and without the need to involve health system infrastructure in a period of two to six months. To be able to carry out the programme, all you need is a smartphone, internet access, and the MindCotine Kit, which includes a cardboard VR viewer.
"We are proud to be one of the winners and very grateful for the opportunities and impact this brings. We have been working for more than 3 years innovating in the health field, and it is these recognitions that give us strength, a good perspective of the road we have traveled, and all that remains to be done," says Nicolas Rosencovich, CEO of Mindcotine.
Pablo Pereira, CEO of everis Argentina points out that "this year has been a special call. In spite of everything, we met great people, driven to generate change through their ideas. We are proud to accompany them in this process".
The Refix project, directed by Facundo Cancino, has also been awarded 1,500 euros to invest in its project. In addition, a special recognition was made to Martín Moya, CEO of Blow2bit, who was awarded with a postgraduate degree from UCEMA on SME Marketing.
This year six projects reached the Argentinean final in the categories "Biotechnology and health" and "Industrial or energy technologies": Bioproteine, Medibox, Blow2bit, Mindcotine, Refix and Einsted.
