The everis foundation has closed the XVII call for the everis Awards with a total of 999 participating projects, where we can see the international nature of the projects submitted. In this edition, the candidates come from a total of 21 countries from Europe, America, Asia and Africa. Spain is the country with the highest amount of submitted projects, followed by Portugal and Chile.

These candidates, which fall into the categories of Biotechnology and Health, New Business Models in the Digital Economy, or Industry or Energy Technologies, will be evaluated according to the level of innovation, business model, and proposed solution. The semifinalists will come from this first round, also incorporating the winning projects from the local everis Awards in Argentina, Colombia, Italy, Mexico, and Peru.

News in 2018

For the first time, the semifinal will take place in Barcelona, in addition to the habitual city of Madrid. For six days, 3 in Madrid and 3 in Barcelona, the entrepreneurs will present their initiatives to a Jury composed of everis executives, investors, and professionals with extensive experience in the technological, scientific, and business worlds. Six finalists (two per category) will emerge from the evaluation period. These shortlisted candidates will receive consulting services valued at 10,000 euros from i-deals, company from the everis Group specialized in technological entrepreneurship. After this mentoring process, the finalists will present their initiatives before a Jury who will choose the winning project.

Another new this year is that, if they wish, the semifinalist projects will be able to participate in the Open Innovation Contest, an initiative of NTT DATA that has the objective to search innovative commercial proposals that match with NTT DATA´s existing services and solutions that are attractive for their clients. The winner of the startup will be able to launch the development of their business proposal with the support of NTT DATA and the mentoring will be given along three months.

Once more, the everis foundation remains committed to encouraging innovation and supporting entrepreneurship with consulting and an award valued at €60,000, in order to continue improving aspects of these projects.
